Cooking Steps

  1. Step1:Peel and wash taro, cut into small pieces, and then cut into slices. Pearl rice is washed and prepared; shallot is washed and chopped; ginger is washed and sliced.

  2. Step2:Heat the iron pot and add a little oil. When the oil is warm, stir fry the sliced streaky pork in the pot. When the oil is burnt and fragrant, stir the ginger in the pot together

  3. Step3:Pour in the cut taro and stir fry. Spray some cooking wine and salt in the pot. Stir for several times, then add some water and cover the pot and simmer for 23 minutes

  4. Step4:After uncovering, pour the cleaned pearl rice into the pot and cover it on the taro block. Weigh the pot to make the rice flat

  5. Step5:Fill the pot with water, and cover the rice grains with water

  6. Step6:Turn down the stove, cover and simmer the rice. When the water is dried, remove the cover (about 12 minutes. If you like the taste of crispy bottom, you can extend the simmering time appropriately). Use chopsticks and spatula to loosen the cooked rice

  7. Step7:Mix with salt and soy sauce. Simmer for 35 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped green onion before cooking. Pick up the spoon. Eat the fragrant taro rice while it's hot
