Step1:Wash the wax gourd with clear water. Do not peel it. Cut it into large pieces. Wash the carrot and peel it. Cut it into hobs for use.
Step2:After the ribs are cleaned, soak them in water for half an hour. The purpose of soaking is to drain the blood from the ribs. Then blanch them in cold water. When the water is boiled, turn off the fire.

Step5:Add white gourd, carrot, dangshen and tangerine peel when the water is boiling. Continue to boil until boiling. Turn to a small heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
Step6:Simmer for 30 minutes. Add Lycium to simmer for 30 minutes. The cooking time of Lycium barbarum should not be too long. The nutrition of Lycium barbarum will be reduced if the cooking time is too long. Generally, it can be put in the last 30 minutes. Because I used a cast iron pot, I shortened the time of making soup. It's cooked in an hour. Salt can be added to the soup. After a long time of boiling, the wax gourd becomes soft and waxy. Because there is no peeling, the wax gourd remains intact. It is not boiled.
