I live in a small town where Korean people live. Their eating habits are similar to those of Koreans. There are many Korean stores on the street. They mainly sell daily necessities and various Korean condiments. This stewed hairtail with Korean chili sauce was learned from the shopkeeper's wife. The frequent shopkeeper is very friendly. She will teach you how to use it every time she goes to the shop to buy seasonings. Korean chili sauce can well cover up the fishy smell of hairtail. It's very good for hairtail and seafood. Her handiwork is super easy to mix and the dishes are delicious.
Step1:Prepare 500g hairtail, wash and cut into 5-8cm sections. Drain and set aside.
Step2:Add cooking oil to the hot pot. Fry the hairtail until golden on both sides.
Step3:Season with onion, ginger and salt.
Step4:Add Korean chili sauce, lemon and sesame.
Step5:Add beer to get rid of fishy smell. There is no need to add water here. So the amount of beer will be larger.
Step6:Stew for 10 minutes. Collect the juice on a low heat. Add minced garlic before cooking.
Step7:Add chicken essence and coriander before cooking.
Cooking tips:Add lemon to get rid of the smell. You can add vinegar if you don't have one. It's more unique to use beer instead of water. Beer is better than hairtail. There are skills in making delicious dishes.
