Steamer cake is a special snack in Xi'an. It originated from Zhou Dynasty and has a long history. The deep mouth pot of steamer cake is called steamer, so it gets its name. Steamer cake is soft and delicate in texture. It's fragrant after ripening. It's Xi'an People's favorite snack. Friends who have been to Huimin street in Xi'an should know that there is a Southeast Asian steamer cake in Huimin street. If you want to eat it, you have to line up for a long time. In fact, it is convenient to make it at home.
Step1:Soak kidney beans or peas in water for about 20 hours.
Step2:Soak the glutinous rice in water for 8 to 10 hours.
Step3:Wash the jujube and steam it for ten minutes. Cool it and take out the jujube core.
Step4:I use the electric pressure cooker. First put a thick layer of soaked rice on the bottom of the electric pressure cooker
Step5:Then lay the seeded dates flat.
Step6:Spread a thin layer of rice on the jujube. Then spread a layer of kidney beans. Spread a thick layer of rice on the cloud beans. Then spread all the rest of the jujube on the rice. Then come down and add water to the pot. Add the water to the jujube just above the top.
Step7:Start steaming. Use the longest time program on the electric pressure cooker. After a program, use a cooking program.
