The light and sweet soup with shredded radish and crucian carp is a favorite dish for the whole family, including our two kittens. Different from the common radish and crucian carp soup, there are two different kinds of radishes. One is the common white radish, the other is a small round radish with green outer layer and red heart. It is called small watermelon radish. Add this little watermelon and radish for its amazing color and for its sweet taste. -
Step1:Shredded radis
Step2:Slice the watermelon and radish. I use a mandelin chipper.
Step3:I didn't buy crucian. So I used snapper. Remove the internal organs of fish. Wash and pat dry. Cut 5 knives on each side of the fish. Insert ginger slices. Spread some salt and cooking wine and marinate them.
Step4:Boil the water. Put in the shredded radish and bring to a boil. Strain out the water and set aside.
Step5:Heat the oil in a hot pot. The pan is not sticky. Fry the fish until it is a little yellow on both sides.
Step6:Add water. Almost no fish. Add the scallion knot and the remaining ginger slices.
Step7:Add the shredded radish. Boil over high heat. Turn the fish soup white. Turn to medium low heat. Cook for 15 minutes. Mix in salt, chicken powder and white pepper.
Step8:Add watermelon and radish. Then cook for 5 minutes.
Step9:Loading. Open to eat. It's delicious.
