Step1:Soak the glutinous rice in water for about an hour. Wash the fresh lotus root.
Step2:Cut about 5mm pieces of fresh lotus root at both ends as the cover.
Step3:Plug each lotus root hole with the soaked glutinous rice. When it can't be stuffed in, you can press it into the hole with thin chopsticks. But you don't need to press it too hard, because the glutinous rice will expand when it is cooked.
Step4:When the lotus root hole is filled with glutinous rice, use toothpick to fix the cut lotus root cap on the lotus root.
Step5:Put water in the pot. Add brown sugar, rock sugar and lotus root. The water should cover the lotus root. High heat. Boil the water for another hour.
Step6:After cooking and cooling, slice and dish. Pour sweet osmanthus on lotus root slices.
