Donkey roll is a traditional snack in Beijing. In my hometown, there is also a kind of dessert for the Mid Autumn Festival. It's called horse roll . It's also eaten by rolling soybean flour. It's easier than donkey roll. It's made of glutinous rice flour dough into a fist sized hollow ball in the middle. Put it in boiling water and boil it. Put it in the cooked soybean flour mixed with sugar and roll it. My mother does it every Mid Autumn Festival. I like this better than mooncakes. Every year I go home. Even if I don't get to the Mid Autumn Festival, I will buy food on the street. I will remember the taste of childhood reunion festival. Beijing's traditional donkey roll is red bean paste. I don't have red bean paste. But there are many lotus moon cakes. I tried it once. It's quite delicious. Although the horse roll in my hometown didn't add red bean paste or lotus paste. But the taste is the same as that of cooked soybean powder. Today I feel the feeling of home.
Step1:Fry soybeans over low heat. About 10 minute
Step2:Stir fry the soybeans and cool them. Pour the soybeans and 30g sugar into the blender and process them into soybeans powder for later use

Step6:Spread a layer of bean flour on the vegetable boar
Step7:Put the warm glutinous rice cake on the soybean flour. Cover with the plastic wrap. Roll the glutinous rice cake evenly on it with a rolling pin. Then remove the plastic wrap
Step8:Spread the lotus seed evenly on the glutinous rice cak
Step9:Finally roll up the glutinous rice cake horizontally. Sprinkle some soybean flour evenly on the place where it is not stained with soybean flour. If it's not too troublesome, wrap it with plastic wrap and roll it evenly with sushi bamboo mat
Step10:Cut into 23cm thick roll
