Step1:Pour olive oil into the pot. Stir fry onion, cinnamon and turmeric powder in a small heat. When the onion is slightly transparent, add carrot. Add water.
Step2:Pour in the potatoes and tomato pieces. Season with salt. Cover and simmer for about 57 minutes until the potatoes are soft. Add in green and red peppers. Shred some dried basil and mix well. Bring to a boil until the carrots and tomatoes crumble
Step3:Turn off the heat. Sprinkle some cornmeal. The amount depends on the remaining soup in the pot. Mix well and cover and simmer for 5 minutes. All the cornmeal absorbs the soup. Sprinkle pepper before leaving the pot.
