There are various ways to make taro. With this article, I have sent out four recipes about different ways of making taro. I've taught you how to make radish cake before. I was asked by a friend to give me a tutorial of taro cake. After a long time, I finally have time to organize and share with you. Taro cake is a classic snack in Cantonese teahouse. It's salty, fragrant, soft and glutinous. It's also a must in the teahouse. I've also shared other Cantonese classic pastries, such as radish cake, dry steaming and selling, and golden quicksand bag. Cooking Steps

  1. Step1:Soak the shrimp in water for 10 minutes.

  2. Step2:Steam sausage in hot water for 15 minutes.

  3. Step3:Cut taro into small pieces. It's about the size of nail plate.

  4. Step4:Take a large bowl and put in sticky rice flour, chengmian, pepper, chicken essence, Wuxiang powder, sugar, salt and sesame oil.

  5. Step5:Mix well and add 130g water. Mix well.

  6. Step6:Drain the shrimps. Chop them.

  7. Step7:Sausages are diced.

  8. Step8:Heat the oil in the pot. Pour in the taro and stir fry until the hard shell turns yellow.

  9. Step9:Put in the shrimps. Stir fry them over low heat. Stir fry shrimps until they are bubbling.

  10. Step10:Pour in the sausage. Turn on the medium heat. Stir fry until it's a little cooked.

  11. Step11:Pour in 200g water, cover the pot and boil. Before using the powder, use the eggbeater to mix it up a little.

  12. Step12:Pour half of the taro sausage into the powder. Stir well.

  13. Step13:Pour the rest into the powder. Stir well with chopsticks.

  14. Step14:Take out the mold. Brush oil around the mold. Pour the prepared taro powder into the mould. Put water in the pot. Boil over high heat and put in taro powder. Steam for 3040 minutes.

  15. Step15:After steaming, poke with toothpick. If toothpick is dry, it's cooked. Then put it in the cold, buckle it down and slice it.

  16. Step16:It can also be fried before eating. It's more fragrant.
