The pumpkin made of pure glutinous rice flour is easy to collapse. After several improvements, the pumpkin no longer collapses. Share with you.
Step1:Peel and remove the flesh of pumpkin. Wash and cut into small pieces. Cover with plastic film and steam. After steaming, mash the pumpkin with a blender while it's hot.
Step2:Pour the mashed pumpkin puree (hot). Flour and glutinous rice flour into the mixing basin. Do not put all the flour and glutinous rice flour into the mixing basin. Leave a little. Because the water absorption of each pumpkin is different. After mixing into a large wadding like dough, knead it into a non stick dough by hand, and feel the dough soft and tough.
Step3:Divide the dough into 8 parts. Each part is about 40 grams. If there are many members in the family, you can prepare 2 parts of raw materials. Cover with plastic wrap. Divide the red bean paste into 8 parts, 20 grams each, and knead.
Step4:Make the divided pumpkin dough into a small hat shape. Put the bean paste stuffing in. Close the mouth. Close the mouth downward. Reshape and make it round.
Step5:Use the toothpick or the back of the knife to press the pumpkin pattern. It can be pressed deeper. Press on the raisins and turn them into pumpkin stems. You can use dates, carrots or anything.
Step6:Boil the steamer. Spread a layer of cooking oil on the steamer. Then put the pumpkin on it. Cover it. Steam for 15 minutes.
Step7:When the pumpkin is steamed, open the lid. Let it cool a little. Put it on a plate. It's edible. The cute little pumpkin is coming out.
Cooking tips:The pumpkin should be steamed in a pot covered with plastic wrap to prevent water vapor from entering. I made the red bean paste by myself.
