Donkeys rolling is one of the traditional snacks in old Beijing. Because of the soybean noodles sprinkled in the final production process, it is just like the Loess waves raised by wild donkeys rolling in the outskirts of old Beijing. Therefore, it is named donkeys rolling . But here is not the authentic donkey roll. It's my homemade coconut milk donkey roll according to the taste of my children. The steps are relatively simple. It's holiday. I'll make a snack at home.

Cooking Steps

  1. Step1:Prepare the ingredients.

  2. Step2:Add 100g glutinous rice flour, 15g white sugar and 25g corn starch into the container. The amount of white sugar can be increased or decreased according to personal taste.

  3. Step3:Then add 100ml of milk. Stir well until no particles are sticky. Corn starch is used to reduce the stickiness of glutinous rice flour. But it can't be added too much. If it is added too much, the glutinous rice flour will become inelastic. It doesn't taste elastic.

  4. Step4:Cover the batter with plastic film and steam for 25 minutes.

  5. Step5:Steam well and add 5g olive oil while hot.

  6. Step6:Then knead the olive oil into the steamed glutinous rice flour and mix well. Steamed glutinous rice flour will not touch your hands.

  7. Step7:Roll the glutinous rice balls into 45mm thick pancakes.

  8. Step8:Spread a layer of red bean sand evenly.

  10. Step10:Cut it with water.

Cooking tips:1. The bean paste filling is very sweet, so it's good to add some sugar according to your taste. 2. It's not easy to stick when the knife is cut with water. There are skills in making delicious dishes.
